Holy Communion is celebrated during all of our regular services. We welcome to the Lord’s Table members of Good Shepherd and members of sister congregations of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LC—MS). The Lord’s Supper is the highest expression of fellowship and doctrinal unity. Out of love for God’s Word and His people, we observe the Biblical and historic practice of the Christian Church referred to as closed communion. This practice does not deny that members of other denominations are Christians. Rather, it bows the knee to the Bible’s deep concern for doctrinal truth and unity (Rom 16:17). Guests of denominations which are not in doctrinal fellowship with the LC—MS are lovingly directed not to commune at this time and strongly encouraged to seek the Biblical understanding of our confessional practice of closed communion. Those coming to the altar for a blessing rather than the Lord’s Supper are asked to cross their arms over their chest.

Member/Guest Registration Pads are located in the pews. You’re invited to complete it. We welcome our visitors to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and invite you to return and worship with us again. The Word of our Lord is a blessing to all who gather in His Name.

Sit or Stand? – Those caring for young children or who have difficulty standing for the Prayers or other parts of the service, please know that you are most welcome to sit as you find need or comfort.

Noisy Children? – No worries! Our children are not the future Church, they are the Church! Please don’t be embarrassed if your children make noise during worship – all children do. We encourage families to worship together, but if you feel the need, please feel free to step into the narthex. There are also children’s bags with colored pencils and activity books if you’d like to take them in the pew with you to occupy the Lord’s little ones.
